Arborist Tree Reports

Northern Tree Care provides detailed tree reports to clients including local government authorities, corporations, industry bodies, private landholders and to parties in legal dispute. These arborist reports can be requested when an issue pertaining to a tree or trees arises or it can be ordered by planning authorities.

Attention to detail, a typical tree report contains:

• An unbiased context outlining the purpose of the report
• Detailed flora descriptions of site
• Detailed site mapping
• Tree hazard and risk assessment where appropriate, especially for insurance purposes
• An overall summary
• Bibliography/references
• Recommendations.

Recommendations can be wide-ranging and may include:

• Tree Protection and/or preservation strategies
• Imminent remedial action
• Regular monitoring of the tree
• Implementation of hazard reduction measures such as tree prunning, or the instillation of appropriate signage
• Removal of a tree or trees

Arborist Tree Surveys

Northern Tree Care conducts detailed tree surveys for a range of individual, corporate and government clients. These surveys typically involve the identifying, counting and mapping of different species of trees and, where required, detailed descriptions of a tree or trees’ general condition. On large landholdings, for instance, the identifying and mapping of rare or threatened species can determine preservation areas and/or otherwise influence land use.

Northern Tree Care works with the GIS system, Arcpad, which permits them to identify and notarise, within two metres of accuracy, an individual tree’s location. Tree surveys thus serve to establish a data base and, where needed, to update it. This in-depth information can form the backbone of highly effective land and habitat management.
